Skills + CLI for VeloDB: Production Database Expertise for Agents

We're excited to introduce VeloCLI and VeloDB Skills, native tools that let AI agents operate VeloDB with the judgment of an experienced engineer.

VeloCLI is an agent-ready command-line interface for database and cloud operations. It offers stable commands (velocli sql, velocli tablet, velocli profile, velocli cloud), compact responses, and detailed error messages, so agents can interact with VeloDB efficiently.

VeloDB Skills package three core database expertise into agent skills, built on patterns and real-world learnings from 500+ enterprise deployments and tested against real production failure modes. All three skills are open source:

• velodb-architecture-advisor: sizing and capacity planning before deployment
• velodb-best-practices: table design and performance tuning
• velocli-cloud: the full cloud operations workflow in VeloDB Cloud
